THIRD SUNDAY OF ADVENT

WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

LIGHTING OF THE ADVENT CANDLE

The peoples shall beat their swords into plowshares,
And their spears into pruning hooks;
nations shall not lift up sword against nation,
neither shall they learn war any more.

The wolf shall dwell with the lamb,
the leopard shall lie down with the kid
the calf and the lion and the fatling together,
and a little child shall lead them.

The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad,
the desert shall rejoice and blossom;
like the crocus it shall blossom abundantly,
and rejoice with joy and singing.

Prayer of the Week
God, I need You. You alone are my source of strength, joy, peace, patience, and love. You understand my character and nature – and You approach me with kindness. Today, I repent of focusing on momentary things instead of placing You first in my life. Draw me close to You. And as I wait on You to return, please use me to love and encourage this broken world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
